"MY FRIEND CAN'T STOP CRYING BECAUSE OF YOUR SPEECH.  SHE HEARD YOU SPEAK THIS MORNING, AND SHE WAS STILL CRYING DURING 7TH HOUR. I THINK YOU REALLY HELPED HER.  THANK YOU, MR. SCOTT,"  said a young lady who stopped me in the halls as the day was coming to an end. Tears began welling up in her eyes as she spoke.

Yesterday there were a lot of tears. Tears are an indication that someone's heart has been touched in a special way.  Tears give us glimpses into the soul of another person, showing us that something very deep within their being has been affected.

Yesterday was special.  Special because lives were changed. From 8am to 8:30pm, teen moms, alternative school students, at-risk freshman, student leaders, the football team, faculty and staff, parents, and others were inspired to overcome the adversity in their lives. Many of them made decisions to shake off mediocrity, to use their God-given personal power to change their lives.

Although I was exhausted at the end of the day, I was on cloud nine because I knew in my heart that lives were changed.

I am thankful that God continues to work through broken pieces of my life to bring healing and hope to others.

That brings tears to my eyes...

Thanks for reading!
